Khuvsgul Summer Retreat

Lakeside luxury at our family's resort on Mongolia's sacred Younger Sister of the Sea.

Khuvsgul
7 Days
June - August
From $9,800 / person

Overview

The Khuvsgul Summer Retreat is Unveil's most natural entry point — a private week centered on Toilogt Resort, our family's lakeside base, paced for travelers who want Mongolia's beauty and intimacy with full comfort. Days blend soft adventure with generous downtime, so guests experience the landscape without feeling rushed from one checkpoint to the next.

Toilogt is the heart of the journey: family-owned and family-run, the property is operated by Bataa Dorj and his family year-round, which is why this product can be sold at this comfort level on Khuvsgul at all. Around it, the week threads horseback rides with Munkhbat, lake time, family hospitality with the herding clans we have known for two generations, and the slow rhythms of northern Mongolia.

Family-owned access

Tugi's family runs Toilogt, so the entire property operates around your week rather than around a tourist schedule.

Gentle active days

Riding, kayaking, lake boating, and forest walks keep the journey immersive without making it punishing.

Toilogt at full operation

Heated en-suite gers, lake-edge banya, outdoor cedar hot tub, chef Enkhee's table, and a private dock.

Privileged local welcome

Visits with herding families that Tugi's family has hosted across decades; cultural moments come through real relationships, not staged performances.

What to expect

Comfort-first wilderness

Polished logistics and a comfortable base, with enough adventure to feel fully in Mongolia without expedition demands.

Private guiding throughout

A fully private journey, with pace, meal timing, and daily emphasis adjusted to your interests and energy.

Real local relationships

The families you meet are not introduced through a fixer; they are part of the Dorj family's working life around Toilogt.

Weather-led flexibility

Lake and riding activities depend on conditions, so the order of some days is held flexible to capture the best light and comfort.
